Đôi khi chúng ta có nhu cầu hẹn giờ tắt máy tính (ví dụ: bật nhạc để nằm nghe và... ngủ) nhưng trong tay lại không có sẵn phần mềm nào như thế vậy bạn có thể thực hiện rất đơn giản như sau:
Cứ bật các chương trình (ví dụ nghe nhạc, download) bình thường khi nào muốn hẹn giờ tắt thì vào Start->Run gõ lệnh sau đây và nhấn Enter.
Lệnh: shutdown -f -s -t xx (xx là số giây hẹn giờ tắt).
Ví dụ: hẹn giờ tắt 1 tiếng: shutdown -f -s -t 3600
Nếu bạn lỡ hẹn giờ rồi, muốn hoãn lại thì thực hiện lệnh shutdown -a
Ngoài ra tôi còn cung cấp một số lẹnh liên quan luôn :
Usage: shutdown [-i | -l | -s | -r | -a] [-f] [-m \\computername] [-t xx]

-s Shutdown the computer
-r Shutdown and restart the computer
-a Abort a system shutdown
-m \\computername Remote computer to shutdown/restart/abort

-f Forces running applications to close without warning
